Not at all. The first call is simply a chance to talk things through and see whether we're the right fit. There's no obligation, and plenty of clients book in a few months ahead so the move lines up neatly with their year-end. Whenever you're ready, we'll fit around you.
Usually within a fortnight. Once you give us the go-ahead, we write to your previous accountant, run the standard checks and gather your records — most of which happens in the background. We'll keep you posted at each step, and you'll have a named adviser on the end of the phone from day one.
Yes — we're cloud-first, so we look after clients right across the UK. With Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent we can see your numbers in real time wherever you are, and most of our work happens by phone, video and email. You're welcome to visit King Street, but you certainly don't have to be in Manchester.
It's a relaxed 20-minute call — by phone, video or in person, whichever suits you. We'll ask about your business, where you're at and what's been frustrating you, then tell you honestly how we can help and what it would cost. No hard sell, and no charge for the conversation.
Everything is a fixed monthly fee, agreed up front and spread across the year, so there are no nasty surprises when your accounts are due. The price depends on your set-up, your turnover and the services you need — and once it's agreed, you can call us as often as you like with no clock running.
We work with Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent, and we'll recommend whichever fits your business best. If you're already on one of them, brilliant — we'll pick it straight up. If you're not, we'll set it up, move your data across and show you the ropes, all as part of getting you started.
